Overcoming Autoimmune Disease Through Health and Nutrition
Sarah Machemer is a personal trainer and fitness expert who helps people turn around their health. Her hard-fought journey of overcoming a debilitating Crohn's diagnosis that hospitalized her for the better part of 2008 drives her to live a proactive and healthy life.
From competitive gymnastics to running half marathons, and competing in bikini competitions, Sarah’s enthusiasm for feeling good in her body started from a young age. Her recovery from Crohn’s inspired her to leave a misaligned career in Pharmaceutical sales to focus on her primary passion: teaching people how to care for their bodies.
With her be.FIT by Sarah clients the focus is to make small habit shifts that contribute to the larger picture of feeling: stronger, getting better sleep, and building confidence around food and nutrition.
Sarah is especially passionate about helping people:
Put their autoimmune disease in remission through nutrition and exercise
Teaching clients age 40+ how to drop fat and gain muscle
Keeping people active throughout the aging process
Sarah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. In her private time, you can find her exploring different cultures, traveling to her favorite places in Spain and Chile, spending time with her pups Peanut and Lilla, and testing recipes like she’s on America’s Test Kitchen.
